Movie, TV and other entertainment productions were almost completely stopped because of COVID-19, but as more and more local governments reopen their economies, actors and agents will start to look at castings again, which will require headshot submissions. So what should you do if you need new or updated headshots?
Look no further than Jeffrey Rosenberg Photography to take your professional and exceptional headshot photos! In such a hectic time, you might be weary about the logistics involved when shooting a headshot photo and how to do so safely, but luckily, we have been doing this for years – and our top priority is to ensure your photos are taken safely and ultimately look great! There are some extra steps you can take to increase the safety and reduce the chance for infection when at a headshot session with Jeffrey Rosenberg Photography.
Here are the things you should consider and the steps you can take.
1.Consider studio or natural light session advantages and disadvantages.
Firstly, you’ll want to decide between doing a headshot session in an indoor studio setting or outdoors. Both have safety advantages and disadvantages. Shooting outdoors has the advantage of more easily maintaining six feet of separation for social distancing, yet, it also has the disadvantage of more likely running into a passerby or two and as we know, not everyone is complying with official requests to wear masks or keep safe distances.
Shooting in a studio removes the concerns of a random people ruining the possibility of a safe session, but if a studio is small, keeping a safe six feet apart might be more challenging. In a studio, however, it’s much easier to control who is filling the space. Ultimately, though, your choice of location is also based on the type of look you desire. Some people like the studio look while others prefer the outdoor look. But during COVID-19, it’s incredibly important to consider the safety advantages and disadvantages of both.
2. Make sure to maintain a safe distance during the shoot.
Whether in a studio or outdoor setting, the photographer (Jeffrey Rosenberg) will ensure to keep a face mask on. Obviously, you’ll need to remove your face mask for photos, but limiting removal for only during the actual shoot and not during scenarios like changing for looks will help reduce the chances of spreading infection. While photoshoots are not the ideal place to keep 6 feet of distance, doing your best to abide by safety precautions will keep the chances of infection to a minimum.
3. Taking post-shoot safety steps.
We can guarantee on our end that our studio will be sanitized upon any new client’s arrival. We also make a point to wipe down common areas after every shoot. Taking such precautions will further reduce any chance of transmitting infections.
Overall, if both the client and photographer take the appropriate precautions and understand potential risks, we can assure a safe way to take and receive headshots during this pandemic.
